Born in 2004 from the merger of ten establishments, the Hôpital du Valais is now present throughout the canton, where it is the main employer with more than 5,400 employees. In 2019, the work of the latter enabled 41,000 inpatients to be cared for and 510,000 outpatient visits to be carried out.
